We will meet each other in Ferrol, a port city on the northwest coast of Galicia. Ships from England, Ireland and Scandinavia with pilgrims on board used to dock in this city. In the La Magdalena district, the historic center just behind the harbour, you can taste the atmosphere of yesteryear. Ships destined for the Armada, the Spanish fleet, were built here and set sail from here.

In this district we start the Camino Ingles, the tourist office is also located where you can pick up your ‘credencial’ . This is our meeting place, we get to know each other and you place your intention. And you will know on which days/half days you will be coached.

The next morning you start walking, this journey takes you along the jagged coast, over rias (estuaries) through sleepy villages and beautiful forests. On day 8, during the last kilometers, the towers of the cathedral of Santiago are visible and you will be taken along with all those other pilgrims who have made their journey from all corners of the world. Off to the cathedral and pick up your Compostela, a festive moment!
